Mt Gambier - The Blue Lake

The following weekend we hired a car and took Anna and Yvonne to Mt Gambier. Last year Daryl and I went to Mt Gambier and visited The Blue Lake. The colour was quite different this time. Breath taking.
Umpherston Sinkhole – at one time it was a cave. The man who owned the land turned it into a garden for his wife. Lots of bees but quite amazing.

Coastline Since we had hired a 4 Wheel Drive, Daryl decided to drive onto the beach. We were having fun until we drove a short distance on the beach and started to sink. I think Daryl was a little nervous as well and started to call around for advice! We all had to get out of the car and while Daryl was having fun “trying to get back to the road”, Yvonne, Anna and I were getting attacked by horse flies! We had to let air out of all four tires. Unfortunately I only took one photo and it does not really indicate how bad it really was!
