We were invited to a Hallowe'en party at Janine's this year. Her roommate goes all out and I was quite impressed.Daryl bought me a pumpkin (when they first got them in at the grocery store they were $22.00 no matter the size... then the day before Hallowe'en they went down to $8.00) to carve for the party. Still pretty expensive for the size but I was pretty excited to have a proper pumpkin to carve :) I didn't carve it fancy compared to the carvings that I have seen Michael do at home... but the Aussies liked it :)
My drink was non-alcoholic...
Welcome to our Blog. We will try to keep it updated as much as possible. Hope everyone enjoys this :)

FANCY DRESS WEDDING - 29 WEEKS
One of Daryl's friends got married and the wedding was a "Fancy Dress" wedding. Everyone was asked to go as famous couples. As we were going with Keysey (one of Daryl's other friends), we went as the Three Musketeers!

THANKSGIVING = 28 WEEKS
This was the fourth Annual Aussie Thanksgiving. We celebrated our thanksgiving a week late again as we try to tie it in with my birthday. The turkey was so tasty this year!! Daryl and I prepared it together but Daryl was mainly responsible for taking it out of the oven as it was too heavy for me to lift this year.
The usual suspects attended .... Colleen (Canadian #2) and her new Aussie husband (Justin):
Kate and Jake:
And a new one: Janine
We didn't take too many photos this year but more than last.... there were more of us but I have left out photos of the kids. I also didn't get a photo of Brenton and Sharon.

One Year Anniversary Gift
While we were in New Zealand we commissioned an artist to make a carving for us. Daryl told him what he would like, we were sent photos to approve and then we received the carving in the mail in time for Thanksgiving :) Isn't is beautiful? This will be our new family next year :)
