It started to get cool at night in March and we did not have too many long sleeve tops to put on Rory... all of them were in the wash EXCEPT this girlie one... the photo is so cute I had to post it.
I have taken a photo of Rory every day since leaving the hospital. However, I have not included them all here and have not put them in any kind of order....
Three of many afternoon siestas....
Aren't I adorable in my Elmo pants from Auntie Nicolette and Uncle Arne: Posing for Mummy:
On Monday 17th January 2011 at 19:57 Australian Central Daylight Savings Time Rory Lance Nieuwoudt was born weighing 3.415 kilos / 7 lbs 8.5 oz and 50 cm in length.
(Rory's middle name is Lance after my Dad ... not Lance Armstrong as people have asked!!!)
We have a sky light in the baby's room so Yvonne made us a cover for it that we can open and close depending on how much light we want to let in the room.
Yvonne and Norm came over for Christmas this year. Daryl didn't get home from work Christmas Eve until 530 AM so we had a bit of a sleep in Christmas morning.
Janine and her sister Vera came over for Christmas lunch.
Mid December I was surprised with a baby shower. Daryl worked with my work mates to organize Skype with Canada and Melbourne..... thank you again everyone for the lovely gifts and shower. I had a fantastic day and felt very loved.
Val won the game where they had to estimate how big my belly was... you should have seen how big some of the guesses were!
My last day of work was on the 16 December. I found it very strange to clean out my desk for the year. And even stranger over the next few days. I am still unsure what to do with myself at times. I know we will be busy once Baby Nieuwoudt arrives but in the meantime I have been struggling to entertain myself (that is why I the blog is so up to date now).
